We get a lot of temperature fluctuations, especially in the winter with our chinooks This causes snow and ice to melt during the days when it warms, but due to the temperature drop the water freezes again overnight. This freeze/thaw cycle over a period of time causes condensation, freezing, ano melting all contributing to moisture in attics and in walls, this generally appears around bath fans and pot lights.
